The Observatory has its own private chef who will liaise with guests prior to their arrival to work out a preferred menu for the duration of the stay. Children’s menus and specific dietary requirements are not a problem for our chefs and we can get almost anything from Johannesburg.

There are some amazing places to eat both inside and outdoors, as well as a Boma where guests can sit around a fire at night and sample a typical South African Braai under the stars. Al fresco lunches in the bush are great fun, the favourite being wood fired pizza and salads on our Hippo Deck.
